Why does a natural diamond in earrings matter?
Earrings are worn close to the face and are constantly moving, so the stone is exposed to both light and shadow at the same time, and any flaw in it immediately catches the eye. A natural diamond, the hardest mineral on Earth (10 on the Mohs scale), withstands daily wear without a scratch and does not lose its brilliance or value over the years, unlike a synthetic one, which depreciates over time. That is why we only work with natural D-E VVS1 stones. More about their selection on the Ideal Diamonds page.
What does D-E VVS1 quality mean?
These are two of the four parameters of the 4C scale developed by the GIA laboratory: D-E is the highest range of white, and VVS1 is almost perfect clarity, where inclusions are barely visible even under a jeweler's loupe. For earrings, this is doubly important because the stones are close to the face and light, so any flaw is hard to hide. At BELLER, this level is the standard, not the exception. We write more about this in our section on gemstones.
Do the earrings have a stone certificate?
Yes, each pair comes with a BELLER brand authenticity certificate, which we include with every product. Diamonds above 0.3 ct also receive an independent GIA certificate, and the quality of smaller stones is assessed and confirmed in the BELLER certificate by our gemologist as D-E VVS1. We show you the parameters even before you make a choice, so you know exactly what you are buying.
What clasp should I choose for diamond earrings?
You can choose between a stud, leverback, or French clip, and the decision depends on your lifestyle and how often you remove your earrings. For more valuable stones, we more often recommend fastenings with additional security to ensure the diamond is securely set. We can also make the fastening and the entire design to order, and you can find a matching set in our diamond necklaces.
Where can I see the earrings in person?
The best way to evaluate a brilliant-cut diamond is up close and in natural light, which is why it's worth visiting the boutique before making a decision. You'll try on earrings, compare cuts, and see how the stones look against your skin tone. We invite you to our boutique in Warsaw or our boutique in Krakow.
